More beautiful book art
Recently while doing some research for my university brief i have come across a lot of artists and designers who use books in there work in some way, here are a few i have fallen in love with, thank god i stumbled across them.
This is one of my favourite pieces by Cara Barer. Cara actually describes her self as a book photographer rather than a book artist which i find really interesting.
I love Brian Dettmers unique way of displaying his book piceces, it makes me think about all the different possiblity's there are of displaying my own work.
Casey Curran mixes wire animal sculpture and old book pages to create art work that is truly unique.
Another Casey Curan piece again involving this intricate way of portraying the animal form, love how the book covers are made visible in this piece.

Historic revival
For my recent brief we were told to design a wall paper collection which was influenced by an art movement from the past. I decided to take my influence from the Da Vinci sculptures of the Renaissance period, we will then go on to lazer cut our designs in the coming weeks. There are a few examples of my rough designs below.
